The 21st China International Equipment Manufacturing Expo is hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Government, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. With the theme of "building a global manufacturing ecosystem of innovation, cooperation, and common development", it opened on September 1, 2023 at the Shenyang International Exhibition Center.

On September 1, 2023, the 21st China International Equipment Manufacturing Expo was grandly opened at the Shenyang International Exhibition Center in Liaoning Province.

This year's CIIE covers two major sections: exhibition and exhibition, as well as the Global Manufacturing Summit. As of August 2023, the work of the China International Import Expo is being carried out in an orderly and intensive manner.

This year's Manufacturing Expo has invited industry experts, entrepreneurs, and scientists from around the world to gather in Liaoning to exchange ideas on the future development of equipment manufacturing in the new era. This year's Manufacturing Expo will be an important platform for Liaoning to transform and develop towards high-end, intelligent, and green industries as a traditional industrial base.

This year's Manufacturing Expo consists of three major parts: exhibition displays, global manufacturing summits, and important events during the same period. As of August 2023, the opening ceremony and main forum have invited one Nobel laureate, nearly 20 Chinese and foreign academicians, as well as 127 well-known scholars and corporate guests to participate. They will share cutting-edge achievements in fields such as quantum technology, industrial information security, and artificial intelligence, give keynote speeches, and contribute their intellectual strength to the high-quality development of Liaoning. With the goal of building a new era international high-end manufacturing exchange and exhibition platform, 14 parallel summit forums will be set up. The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Summit Forum is hosted by the China Society of Mechanical Engineering and China Machinery International Cooperation Co., Ltd. Chinese and foreign academicians gave speeches on the theme of "Digital Empowerment of Intelligent Manufacturing", focusing on the intelligent development of high-end equipment and promoting industrial transformation and upgrading. The Expo has set up a series of procurement activities such as the "the Belt and Road" National Procurement Matchmaking Conference, the Central Enterprise Procurement Matchmaking Conference, and the Procurement Manager Negotiation Matchmaking Conference to better carry out economic and trade activities, promote investment cooperation, and build a high-quality platform. As of August 2023, there are over 80 professional procurement teams with over 50 members.

This year's China Equipment Manufacturing Expo lasts for five days and is an innovation of the Global Manufacturing Summit as a manufacturing expo. The Summit set up a main forum, 14 sub forums and 6 parallel events to promote the deep integration of domestic and foreign resources of "politics, industry, education, research, finance, media, and use" with the ecology of Liaoning's manufacturing industry, help the high-quality development of Liaoning's manufacturing industry, and contribute to Chinese path to modernization.
